Afrimoney Launches ‘Kam Join We’ Campaign to Promote Financial Inclusion

Afrimoney, a leading mobile money operator in Sierra Leone, has officially launched the ‘Kam Join We’ campaign. The initiative, unveiled by Afrimoney’s Chief Executive Officer, Martison Obeng-Agyei, aims to raise awareness about the benefits of joining the Afrimoney platform.

The ‘Kam Join We’ campaign is designed to attract new users by showcasing the exclusive benefits available to Afrimoney customers. Speaking at the launch, Obeng-Agyei emphasized that many people who are not yet Afrimoney users are missing out on valuable opportunities. ‘The campaign is about informing potential customers of the many perks they are missing if they don’t join the Afrimoney family,’ he stated, describing it as an ‘invitation to treat’ aimed at expanding the user base.

One of the key highlights of the campaign is a 10% cashback offer for customers who use Afrimoney to purchase EDSA electricity units during the first 10 days of each month. ‘With this offer, Afrimoney subscribers can save money on their EDSA purchases,’ Obe
ng-Agyei noted.

Additionally, Afrimoney is offering free person-to-person transactions, with no service fees. ‘We are the only mobile money operator in Sierra Leone providing free peer-to-peer transactions,’ the CEO affirmed. He also pointed out that Afrimoney subscribers enjoy the most affordable data bundles available on the market.

The ‘Kam Join We’ campaign, which runs from September through December, is targeted at both current mobile money users and those who have yet to adopt the technology. Obeng-Agyei stressed the importance of financial inclusion, citing support from both the World Bank and the Bank of Sierra Leone on the issue. ‘With financial inclusion comes safety,’ he said, encouraging people to take part in the ongoing drive.

Addressing concerns over agents charging customers additional fees for cash-ins, Obeng-Agyei condemned such practices as unethical and urged customers to report any incidents of exploitation by dialing the Afrimoney helpline at 100. ‘With Afrimoney, you can even registe
r yourself and become a part of the family without needing assistance from anyone,’ he reassured.

As Afrimoney continues to grow, the company is committed to making its services accessible to all, with a focus on transparency and user benefits.
