Ambassador Atumanni Dainkeh Bids Farewell To Director Of Protocol


His Excellency Ambassador Atumanni Dainkeh, on Wednesday, 24th October 2024, formally took leave of Mr. Khales Anas, Director of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, representing the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Morocco. This meeting underscored the deepening bilateral relations between Sierra Leone and Morocco, marked by mutual collaboration and support.

Speaking with Mr. Anas, Ambassador Dainkeh expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Moroccan government and people for their warm hospitality during his tenure. He acknowledged Morocco’s critical role in fostering a favorable environment for diplomatic engagement and emphasized the strong ties that have been cultivated between the two nations.

During his address, Ambassador Dainkeh highlighted the successful signing of thirteen bilateral agreements covering key sectors such as agriculture, with initiatives aimed at enhancing food security and agricultural productivity; education, th
rough collaborative programs to improve access to and the quality of education; security, focusing on joint efforts to combat regional security challenges and promote stability; and youth empowerment, with programs designed to harness the potential of young people in both nations.

The Ambassador also expressed Sierra Leone’s gratitude for Morocco’s invaluable support during Sierra Leone’s successful bid for a Non-Permanent Seat on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for the term 2024-2025. Morocco’s provision of campaign materials and technical assistance played a pivotal role in boosting Sierra Leone’s diplomatic presence on the global stage.

In response, Mr. Anas thanked Ambassador Dainkeh for his leadership and contributions during his tenure in Morocco. He reiterated Morocco’s commitment to strengthening ties with Sierra Leone and praised the fruitful collaboration that has led to these significant agreements. He expressed optimism about continued partnership and further development in areas of m
utual interest. Mr. Anas also emphasized the importance of maintaining strong diplomatic relations and encouraged ongoing communication and cooperation.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, reflecting the strong commitment of both nations to continue working together across various sectors for their mutual benefit. The goodwill expressed during the discussions sets a hopeful tone for future engagements between Sierra Leone and the Kingdom of Morocco.

H.E. Atumanni Dainkeh was the first Ambassador to head the Sierra Leone Embassy in Rabat, Morocco, which was officially established on August 27th, 2021.
