Burkina: Minister Sana relies on his collaborators to secure cities and countryside


Ouagadougou: The divisional police commissioner, Mahamoudou Sana, who took charge of the security portfolio, requested on Tuesday the support of his colleagues to meet the challenges of securing Burkinabe cities and countryside.

I would like to ask for your support from everyone, so that together we can meet the challenges of securing our countryside and towns,’ declared the new Minister of Security, the divisional police commissioner, Mahamoudou Sana.

The new head of Security indicated that his ministry will also work to regain territorial integrity and integrity.

The divisional police commissioner spoke Tuesday in Ouagadougou during his official installation as Minister of Security.

Let’s prepare for high-intensity war. This requires that we all have intelligence of the situation and that we be men of action, ingenious, pragmatic, but above all convinced of our belonging to a single nation,’ he maintained.

Divisional police commissioner Mahamoudou Sana explained that he will continue the various projec
ts already started in the security sector.

These include, among other things, the operationalization of the National Security Strategy, the strengthening of coordination and collaboration between the different internal security forces, and the implementation of effective prevention policies.

As a reminder, Divisional Police Commissioner Mahamoudou Sana was appointed on August 1, 2024 as Minister of Security following a government reshuffle. He previously held the position of Minister Delegate for Security.
