DRIP will improve road network, create employment – Bibiani MCE

Mr. Paul Andoh, the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has described the government’s District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) as a policy that will improve road network and create employment for the youth at the district and local level.

He said the major significance of the programme was to improve the road infrastructure and the lives of the people within the Municipality.

‘One of the major problems confronting the Assembly is roads, so this initiative is one of the biggest projects of Nana Addo and Dr Mahamudu Bawumia government, and this will transform our communities greatly,’ he said.

Mr. Andoh stated that the Assembly would ensure efficient utilisation of the equipment and properly maintain them to ensure their longevity.

Mr. Elvis Yeboah, the Municipal Engineer, on his part, stated that they would engage the various communities to assess the nature of their roads and prioritise their needs.

He urged the communities to help the assembly to embark on this exercise when the
machines start operation.
