The only candidate in the running for the election of the president of the Burkinabè Football Federation (FBF), retired Colonel-Major Oumarou Sawadogo hosted a press conference on Thursday in Ouagadougou favor of the opening of the electoral campaign, noted the AIB on site.
Surrounded by certain candidates who joined the consensus, Oumarou Sawadogo explained to media men his development project for Burkinabè football. The program supported by candidate Sawadogo ‘retains a system of values ??called CLARTE which takes into account the current context of Burkinabè football’.
In CLARTE the C stands for Collegiality: search for consensus around objectives to create a safe and attractive environment for the benefit of football stakeholders, the L which refers to Loyalty: construction of sincere relationships coupled with conviviality which ensure and reassure the all stakeholders in compliance with mutual commitments.
The letter A means Ambition: creation of more added value to Burkinabe football and beyond, the
national economy, the R which refers to Responsibility: taking into account the collective utility and responsibility towards all the actors in the conduct of activities. The T stands for acceptance of difference and working together to achieve results.
The letter E refers to Commitment to ‘cultivate the dispositions allowing confidence in action, pride in serving football and effective leadership’.
Oumarou Sawadogo intends to promote Burkinabe football around four main axes: ‘improve the governance of Burkinabe football, strengthen the capacities of stakeholders and promote football, strengthen and maintain the infrastructure and equipment of Burkinabe football and mobilize financial resources and optimize their management “.
Colonel-Major Sawadogo’s campaign director, Ousmane Boly, who read the opening statement, suggested that “we are convinced that the man’s rigor, his sense of listening and his perpetual quest for consensus make him the ideal portrait of the man capable of turning things around and of
course with the help of everyone. »
The governance project is entitled FREE FOOT which means ‘Resilient, Emerging and Excellent Football’.
Many journalists came out to better understand the main axes of candidate Sawadogo’s program

Oumarou Sawadogo’s campaign team plans to travel across the 13 regions of Burkina Faso to explain his football development program in order to gain support from those involved in the discipline.
This campaign opened for a period of two weeks before the election of the president on August 31.
