Minister of Foreign Affairs Unveils New Leadership and Vision for the Future

In a pivotal meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Minister Alhaji Timothy Kabba formally introduced the ministry’s new leadership team, highlighting recent administrative changes and outlining a progressive vision for the future. The event, held on 9th October 2024 in the ministry’s conference room, saw the unveiling of the Acting Director General, Alan C.E. Logan, the new Deputy Director General, and the return of several staff members from foreign postings.

Minister Kabba, in his address, took a moment to reflect on the ministry’s past achievements, emphasizing the importance of building upon these successes to meet future challenges. He underscored the Ministry of Foreign Affairs role on the international stage, particularly in its collaboration with the United Nations on global issues, including peace and security. He also announced the establishment of new embassies in Algeria and Qatar while commending recent diplomatic milestones, such as the opening of forei
gn missions in Sierra Leone by Morocco and Saudi Arabia.

He expressed gratitude to the outgoing Director General, Dr. Victoria M. Sulimani, for her years of dedicated service and wished her success in her new role.
