Orientation of Developed and Finalized Lassa Fever, Ebola, and Mpox Materials in Freetown


The Ministry of Health (MoH) and the National Public Health Agency (NPHA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Welfare and with support from Breakthrough ACTION, held an orientation session at the Ministry of Social Welfare Conference Hall in New England, Freetown. This session focused on the developed and finalized Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials related to Lassa Fever, Ebola, and Mpox for individuals with special needs.

The primary objective was to ensure that individuals with special needs are well-informed about the symptoms, transmission, prevention, and treatment of Lassa Fever, Ebola, and Mpox.

The IEC materials were designed to communicate and convey public health messages in order to support specifically for this demography.

The program aims to empower them with the knowledge necessary in preparedness to achieve better health outcomes if or when there is an outbreak.
