TAAG Luanda-Madrid route deemed strategic

Angolan ambassador to Spain Alfredo Dombe considered the TAAG Luanda – Madrid route strategic to strengthen commercial, cultural and tourist ties, aimed to boost the economies and business development.

Delivering his speech, ahead of the first anniversary of Angola’s Airlines (TAAG) route linking Luanda and Madrid on June 27, the diplomat said that the move helps boost the speedup of the two countries’ economies.

He added that the route increases the possibilities of businesspeople interested in knowing and investing in Angola, in view of development strategy, based on win-win cooperation.

The document highlights the Focus on Africa 2050 Plan aiming to channel institutional support to the investment by Spanish companies on the African continent”.

According to the ambassador, diplomatic and socio-economic relations between Angola and Spain are very strong and the Angolan airline plays a crucial role as a major facilitator of more direct and faster air connectivity between both capitals.

“Angola has currently been focused on modernisation of its airport infrastructure in order to make the country a hub and gateway to the entire African continent”, he highlighted.

The resumption of flights on the Luanda – Madrid route was launched on June 27, 2022.
