Police have denied hunting for Malik Basintale, Deputy National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as being circulated on social media.

‘The attention of the Ghana Police Service has been drawn to a claim circulating on some social media platforms to the effect that Malik Basintale has been declared wanted by the Police, a press release issued by the Service and copied the Ghana News Agency has said.

‘We wish to categorically state that the claim is false,’ it added.

‘We, therefore, urge the public to disregard it and treat it with the contempt it deserves,’ the Police stated.
